Our Dogs
Noble's Autumn In Montgomery CD RA
aka Montgomery or Monty
Monty was born 12/21/02 and was our first Swissy. He was the most laid back, sweetest, easiest (except for the house training) puppy and is the best boy anyone could ever ask for!
We are working towards Monty's draft dog (DD) title this fall - so hopefully he will have some new letters to add to his name! We are also working Monty at the open (CDX) level in obedience and hope to show at that level sometime soon.
Monty bloated and torsed in the fall of 2006 (while we were on our honeymoon). This is one of the scariest things that can happen (especially when you aren't around), so if you are serious about getting a Swissy make sure you are familiar with the symptoms and ways to help try to prevent this.

Monty is super-sensitive to what is going on around him and is very attached to Kim. Personally, we have found that usually male Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs (especially neutered males) tend to be more sensitive, affectionate, and eager to please. Females tend to be a little more bossy, independent, and more likely to test the limits.
However, with all Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs it is extremely important to set rules (such as the 'Nothing in Life is Free' theory) and be extremely consistent with following them. It is also important to make sure your Swissy puppy gets out and is socialized with lots of strange people, situations, and other dogs starting from a very young age!
Reinherz Alegria
aka Gentry
Gentry is our first 'show dog' and her breeders are located up in Wisconsin (Reinherz Kennels). Gentry has her rally novice title and also just earned her novice obedience (CD) title on 9/22/07. She also recently earned her Novice pack dog title, has two Novice Weight Pull legs, and just recently started on the cart. She is definately a good worker and is willing to try almost anything.
Gentry is a very happy girl and jumps around and acts like a silly puppy still when she gets excited. She is the queen of our household and loves to boss the other dogs around. She is an expert at giving 'the look' to the other dogs. She takes a little while to warm-up to strangers, but once she knows you she is your best friend. Gentry passed her OFA Hips with a 'Fair' rating and her OFA elbows were clean. She had her eyes CERF and they were clean also.
We are planning on breeding Gentry again in Fall 2008. We are currently accepting applications for puppies. Please visit our Litter Info page for more details!
Gentry was born 7/12/04, she stands around 27" at the shoulder and weighs around 100 - 105 lbs.
Gracie is a weimaraner, she likes to be the life of the party and the center of attention at all times. She is very affectionate and loves to be in your face and getting petted.
Gracie is big for a female weim and weighs in at almost 75 lbs. Her and Gentry like to argue over who is going to be head of the household.
As far as weims go, she has calmed down a lot with age although she still has separation anxiety. This is one of the nice things about swissies, although they love to be close to their people they don't seem to be as 'nutsy' destructive when you leave them (always crate train your puppies though!)
Woody is a silly little guy (not that little, he weighs 27 lbs., just little compared to the rest of the dogs). As you can see from the pictures on the right, he holds his own and can easily outrun the big dogs!
He is quite the lovebug and loves to curl up under the covers in bed. He and Gentry are best buds!
Cherished A Country Diva
aka Reba
Reba was born 12/20/07 and is out of our first litter. She is a Justus x Gentry puppy and we are hoping she will turn out to be a nice girl, both in the conformation and obedience ring. More pictures and details will be posted soon!
